Gabriela Vazquez is a graduate of Pomona College and holds a Certificate in Feature Film Writing from the UCLA Writer's Program. Her award winning screenplays include: ACCESS DENIED Nicholl Fellowship Finalist WRESTLING WITH ANGELS 3rd Place Diane Thomas Screenwriting Award PAPA WAS A ROLLING STONE Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition Finalist Her short story, Average Monster, will appear in the May 2010 Sisters-In-Crime Anthology, Murder in La-La-Land. The Sick & The Dead, is under consideration by major publishing houses. She is presently at work on the second installment of this series, in which Tom returns to his hometown along the crime ridden and increasingly de-constitutionalized US-Mexican Border, to investigate the disappearance of a Mexican journalist.
